Billie Jean is a sweet and smart 3-4 year old female German Shepherd mix. She is potty trained, loving, and playful! She's got plenty of energy to keep up with you on a hike, but also knows how to relax at your local dog-friendly brewery. She is great with people and has never met a stranger! She's so excited to see you when you come through the front door that she'll meet you excitedly with her favorite toy and want to give you face kisses.

After a morning walk, she is happy to lounge around while you work from home. She's a total couch surfer and s he'll come up to you when she wants to play fetch. After work, it's time for a hike! On walks, Billie Jean likes to chase bees, look for squirrels, and does well meeting other dogs on leash. She currently walks about 3.5 miles per day and would be happy to go longer.

Billie Jean has a history of food aggression with 1 of 2 dogs in a previous home. As a solo dog in her foster home, she is amazingly sweet and easy-going. She is not possessive of food with her people. Billie Jean has not shown possessiveness around toys or attention with other dogs. She would do well as an only dog, or in a home with another large dog playmate with a family who is experienced with preventing food aggression.  While she does not have much experience with cats, she could go to a home with a dog-savvy cat and a family who has experience with introductions and continued training. 

Billie Jean was a great mama to a litter of puppies when she was first rescued. All puppies have been adopted and Billie Jean has been spayed.
