Nellie is a beautiful 18 month old cocker spaniel that came into the rescue when her family was no longer able to care for her. It was clear that Nellie was very loved and well taken care of. Her family only wanted what was best for her so contacted our rescue to take her in. Nellie is currently living with another older cocker spaniel, teenage boys and a cat that she has kept on her toes. She isn't quite sure of the cat so we think she could get used to a cat in the right home but it will take some work and patience on your part. Nellie gets along with most dogs she meets. At times the larger dogs scare her but if given time to get to know them she does good. She weighs about 25 pounds and is crate trained and has had no accidents in her foster home. Nellie loves to play fetch and will play it for hours then her favorite thing to do is lay on the couch with her human for some belly rubs. Children in the home should be at least school age due to her initial shyness. She is an active girl so her perfect home would be one that likes to go on long walks a couple times a day or a trip to the beach or a hike with the family. Nellie Will require regular grooming every eight weeks.
