Parker came into the shelter as a stray. He didn't have any tags or a chip and when no one came to claim him we were asked to take him into the rescue. Parker is about 10-12 weeks old and weighs around 15 pounds. He currently lives with dogs ranging in size from 7-70 pounds and does great with all of them. Parkers favorite thing to do is chase his canine brothers all over the yard or challenge them to a good game of tug a war. Parker loves everyone he meets. Whether its a dog, kid or adult Parker is ready to jump in your lap for snuggle time. However don't just fall in love with his cute face....we know its hard not to but applicants will need to be prepared for the puppy antics that go along with a mug as cute as his. Parker has been known to grab his foster moms slippers and run around the house with them refusing to give them up, he will chew your flip flop while it is still on your foot and has even been caught teething on the dining room table. Now don't get us wrong, Parker is amazing but he is a puppy through and through. He has a ton of energy so will do best in a home that has a fenced in back yard, another playful dog in the home and a family that hikes, bikes, camps and wants to take their dog with them on these ventures. We will be looking for applicants that demonstrate a desire to continue socializing Parker and attending training classes so he can continue to grow to be a well behaved adult dog. Please note that we do expect to receive a high volume of applications for Parker so not all applicants will receive a call/interview. We will only call the ones that seem to be the right fit for Parker. Parker is crate trained and is working on potty training in his foster home.
