Rufus is an eight week old puggle puppy that was going to be left at the shelter. Luckily our group was able to help, preventing him exposed to an environment that can be dangerous for a puppy with no built-up immunity. We believe that he will likely be about 15 lbs when full grown. Aside from being the most cuddly, sweet pup on the planet, he is first and foremost full-on puppy! He wants to chew bones, nylabones, your shoes, your shoelaces, and natural bones. He is not potty-trained and will need close supervision for the next few months. His foster mom says that he tries to chew on electrical wires any chance he gets. Anything left on the floor should be safe and puppy-proof. Rufus digs into his food heartily and will eat anything you give him. His foster mom loves watching him hop through the grass in the back yard and roll over on his back. He is clumsy at times which just adds to his charm. Rufus has a nice blend of energy but can lie down for a nap and cuddle. He wants to be with his people all the time. His foster mom works from home, so he is rarely left alone. If home alone he must be crated to keep him safe.
